The franchise had a couple of years to plan and plot after the original movie, and from that, the sequel Annabelle: Creation was born.
Creation follows a dollmaker and his wife, whose daughter is killed. Several years later they welcome a nun and some girls from an orphanage into their home, who are terrorised by possessed doll Annabelle.
