The Woman in the Window
20th Century Fox have just dropped the official trailer for The Woman in the Window based on the A.J Finn novel.
The movie features an all star cast including Julianne Moore, Amy Adams, Gary Oldman and more.
It's due out in May 2020.
The trailer begins as Anna Fox introduces herself to her phone camera.
She looks into the lens and says, "There are some things that need to be said about me."
"I have an anxiety disorder. I'm agoraphobic. I can't go outside."
We're shown a clip of her young neighbour calling for her at the front door of her apartment complex.
He's holding a box which he says his mother asked him to bring over.
Through a speaker on the wall she tells him, "I'm not prepared for visitors."
Anna grows lonelier and lonelier behind closed doors until she finally lets somebody in - her neighbour Jane Russel.
We see the two girls become close friends as they laugh over wine and discuss their personal lives.
One night, while Anna is lying in her bath tub, she hears a loud scream from across the street.
Anna looks out her window and watches as Jane is flung across the room in her home.
She calls 911 and frantically explains, "My neighbour Jane, she's been stabbed."
Soon after, NYPD call to her home and they bring with them Jane's husband Mr. Russel.
He insists Anna has never met his wife and is out of her mind.
A woman strolls in behind the group and introduces herself as Jane Russel - but (plot twist) she's NOT Jane Russel.
