Downton Abbey: A New Era
The full official trailer for the new Downton Abbey movie has just been released.
The sequel is called Downton Abbey: A New Era, and it drops in cinemas this May 20th.
In the opening few seconds, we learn Violet Crawley has inherited a villa in the south of France.
"Years ago, before you were born, I met a man."
It's revealed they only spent a few days together, so the idea that he would leave her a house is preposterous.
"You never thought to turn it down," she's asked.
In typical Violet Crawley fashion, she responds, "Do I look as if I'd turn down a villa in the south of France."
We later find out a producer and director wants to make a film at Downton.
This is something Robert Crawley can't seem to wrap his head around, "I think it's a horrible idea!"
"Actresses plastered in makeup and actors just plastered."
