Homecoming premiered earlier today
Homecoming is a specially commissioned piece for To Be Irish, which has been produced by District Magazine.
The short film follows Irish people abroad who are unable to return home for Christmas.

In the short film, an Irish woman in London is caught in a reverie as she contemplates the fact that she will not be able to return home for Christmas.
Meanwhile, back in Ireland, the world is left empty without her presence.

The producers worked with James Vincent McMorrow and Gemma Dunleavy to create to the films score and narration.
And The Young Offenders playwright Karen Cogan, is the genius behind the screenplay.
Director George Voronov says, ‘Karen’s script really resonated with me because it cut to the core of how we relate to Christmas time.’

Creators of the moving piece hope it will resonate with those around the world who are also missing their loved ones at a time.
