The Offer
Paramount+ have just released the teaser trailer for their brand new series The Offer.
The show, starring Miles Teller, is about the making of The Godfather movie, and it looks fantastic.
Albert S. Ruddy was a producer on the 1974 film, and his experience inspired a full-fledged TV series.
Miles Teller plays Ruddy in The Offer, alongside Matthew Goode as Robert Evans, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Giovanni Ribisi as Joe Colombo, Dan Fogler as Francis Ford Coppola, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn and Colin Hanks as Barry Lapidus.
"Look, we want to make a movie," Teller's character Ruddy says at the beginning of the trailer.
Matthew Goode's character Robert Evans adds, "This could become a cultural phenomenon! The likes we've never seen before."
"I know how to make this film. It's a metaphor for the American dream," Ruddy says.
"This is not just some gangster film. This is a story about family. It's Shakespeare, its epic," he continues.
We learn halfway through that Frank Sinatra wanted them, "to shut the picture down."
But Teller's character reassures, "If I say I'm going to handle something, I'm going to handle it."
The Offer drops on Paramount+ in America April 28th.
An Irish release date hasn't yet been announced.
