220 Kid chats to SPIN
SPIN's Sarina Bellissimo caught up with 220 Kid for a chat this week.
He's currently topping the chats with his remix of Nathan Evans' Wellerman.
And he told us the story of how he got to where he is today.

The artist admitted music is something he's, "always," had an interest in.
But it wasn't until a close friend passed away that he decided to chase his dreams.
"He had stuff that he wanted to do and he couldn't do it."

"So I thought, at least if I give it a go, I'm kind of not living a selfish life."
"I just sort of worked every day then for like seven years!"
Referring to tracks like Don't Need Love, he said, "I just kind of had a few breaks at the end and here we are."
The artist went on to reveal he met his manager, "by mistake."
He explained his ex girlfriend's friend lost their passport, and he had to go with them to the Brazilian Embassy.
"Then when I was at the embassy, my friend was like, "Awh, I'm in the studio nearby.""

220 Kid continued, "So then I went to the studio nearby."
"And then this girl who was in the session put me on her story, and then my manager saw me on the story."
Sarina laughed, "You work hard for seven years, and then it's just pure luck!"
We can't wait to see what's to come for 220 Kid!
