Adele revealed she was taking a break from music during her tenth and final show in Munich and explained she would be gone for an indefinite period of time.
The 36-year-old Someone Like You hitmaker was filmed giving an emotional speech onstage, during which she confirmed she would be stepping away from the industry to focus on her life and other creative projects.
Outlining her plan of action, she told audience members she was going to finish out her Weekends With Adele shows in Las Vegas this autumn before taking a long "rest".
The singer said that she had planned intended for the Munich residency to be the last shows of the 30 era, but everything changed when she rescheduled her postponed Las Vegas dates - which were cancelled previously due to illness.
“but after that [10 shows in Vegas], i will not see you for an incredibly long time… i just need a rest. i’ve spent the last 7 years building the life for myself, I want to live it now. I want to live my new life I’ve been building” — Adele pic.twitter.com/LwviKRcVAe

Holding back tears, she explained: "But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time and I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break.
“I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now. I want to live my life that I’ve been building and I will miss you terribly.”
Adele concluded her Munich residency on Saturday with a tenth show but it was not the first time the singer admitted it could be time for a break from music.
In July during a radio interview, Adele first revealed that she would step away from music to focus on family and other “creative things” after she had completed her global residencies.
The chart topper's Las Vegas residency launched at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November 2022 and she will have performed 100 shows by the time it ends this November.
