Beyoncé drops Homecoming: The Live Album
The new Beyoncé documentary Homecoming dropped on Netflix today.
What's even more exciting is that Beyoncé has just released Homecoming: The Live Album.
It features her 2018 Coachella set as well as two extra bonus tracks.

The album was released at the exact same time the documentary began streaming on Netflix.
There had been speculation of an album after Beyoncé's personal website had been promoting it.
However, nothing had been confirmed until now.

This all happened very suddenly
Rumours of a potential Beyoncé documentary began to circulate earlier this month.
On the 8th of April, Netflix teased us with a picture of a yellow square with Homecoming written in the centre.
They later announced a Beyoncé documentary would be released the following week.

The Documentary
Homecoming will be tied to her Coachella 2018 performance.
At the concert Beyoncé acknowledged the fact that she was the first black woman to headline the festival.
"Thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline Coachella."

The historic performance had a 26 song set list spanning her entire career.
Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams also joined her onstage for a Destiny's Child reunion.
Her sister Solange Knowles and her husband Jay-Z also joined her onstage.

Beyoncé was supposed to perform at Coachella in 2017 but had to pull out due to her pregnancy.
She gave birth to twins Sir and Rumi Carter later that year.
Queen B told the audience, "I was supposed to perform at Coachella [last year] but I ended up getting pregnant."
"So I had time to dream and dream and dream with two beautiful souls in my belly.…"
