Former One Direction star Zayn Malik sent the internet into a frenzy after he released a cryptic teaser clip for new music.
Posting the snippet to his Instagram account, the 31-year-old Pillowtalk singer wiped his social media presence clean to make room for the video - which he uploaded without a caption.
In the footage, Zayn hints at a full-blown return to the charts with his most personal collection yet and teased that he was about to break his three-year-long hiatus from album making.

Featuring a dramatic close-up of the singer's eyes in black and white, the video showed off snippets of potential tracks on the album and showed the star in the studio as well as adorable shots walking his dog.
Zayn's own voice was then heard explaining the concept and motivation behind his new work, illustrated by subtitles that scrawl across the screen.
He says: 'I think the intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being.
‘My ambitions, my fears. And for them to have a connection with that. And that’s why it’s so raw, you know, it’s just me writing this. I didn’t want anybody else to be between me and the music and the music and the people listening to it.’
The last time fans caught a whiff of the ex-boyband member's vocals was when he dropped a stand alone dance track entitled Love Like This, last July.
