Dublin Night Mayor
There are calls for a Night Mayor to introduced to Dublin to ensure the night life of the city doesn't die.
A number of well established venues have closed in recent months leaving a majority of the night time economy only being seen in certain areas.
The Labour Party spokesperson on Community, Rebecca Moynihan, says something needs to be done to foster and promote vibrant night life for local people.
She suggested that while there many spots for tourists to visit, there are decreasing venues for Dubliners who want to enjoy late nights outside of the main tourist centres.
