A new survey shows the pandemic helped people to build better relationships with their neighbours.
44% would trust their neighbours with a spare key to their property.
The survey by iReach found 4 in 10 people said the lockdowns helped them get to know their neighbours better.
While more than half of people say their neighbours are their close friends.
Sean Moynihan, CEO of ALONE, says the older people they work with felt more supported by their neighbours and communities during lockdown:
"We hear all the negatives sometimes but ultimately people have been building relationships with neighbours and those relationships will sustain because ultimately it took a challenge where people had to reach out to each other for help and support."
The study of 12,000 people found 17% of homeowners would not trust their neighbours at all.
