At least 8 people have been killed and around a dozen injured in a terrorist attack in New York.
It's understood a pick-up truck drove into pedestrians and cyclists in Lower Manhatten, close to the World Trade Centre.
New York police say the truck hit a number of people, before crashing into a school bus:
The driver of the truck, a male 29-years-old, was taken into custody. A paintball gun and pellet gun were recovered from the scene.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, who travels to the US today, described the incident as 'a vicious and heartless attack on the people of New York'.
It's the first fatal terror attack to strike New York City since 9/11.
