'To president Michael D. Higgins...'
An 8-year-old's letter to President Michael D. Higgins has gone viral online.
In the letter, the child offers his condolences to the president following the death of his dog Síoda.
The news of Síoda's death came on Saturday in a weekly newsletter from Áras an Uachtaráin.
She was one of two Bernese mountain dogs owned by President Higgins.
Her death broke the hearts of many Irish people.
It affected one little boy so much, that he decided to write a letter to the president.
His father Glen Guilfoyle shared the message online, and the post has since gone viral with over 3k likes.
Glen wrote, 'How class is it to live in a country where the @PresidentIRL is so feckin sound that our children worry about him when his dog passes away.'
