New figures from the Central Statistics Office show we love the internet
The Central Statistics Office published Information Society Statistics on Households in 2019 and it showed a lot of interesting figures.
The report shows that 91% of people in Ireland have internet access with fixed broadband being the most popular.
Just 11% of people have never used the internet, 79% use the internet every day or almost every day.
Finding out opening hours and checking our emails seem to be the most popular thing to do on the web but instant messaging follows closely on the leader board.
When it comes to fraud online, 15% of users said they received fraudulent messages over the last year and 9% found that their children had accessed inappropriate websites, according to the Central Statistics Office.
