Three people have died following an apartment fire in Clondalkin.
Gardaí and fire services attended the scene at Cluainin Cronan at approximately half 2 this morning.
Five people were in the apartment at the time of the fire, two adult females and three children.
A 27 year old woman and two children, ages 2 and 3 year were taken to Tallaght Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
A female in her 30s was taken to St James Hospital and a 4 year old boy was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin, their condition is described as critical.
Seven residents of nearby apartments have been evacuated.
The scene is sealed off and a technical examination of the area will take place later today.
