A ban that stopped gay and bisexual men from giving blood has been lifted.
Now, men who have sex with other men must wait one year after they last had sex before they can give blood.
Despite welcoming the move to lift the life-time ban, campaigners are still describing it as discrimination.
Also among the policy changes from the IBTS, anyone who has been treated for a 'notifiable sexually transmitted infection, such as chlamydia or genital herpes' will not be able to give blood until 5 years after the completion of their treatment.
