Jerry Harris arrested on child pornography charges
One of the stars of Netflix's Cheer, Jerry Harris, has been arrested on child pornography charges.
It's alleged he enticed an underage boy to produce sexually explicit videos and pictures of himself.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois have revealed details, as reported by E! News.
In a press release, they alleged he contacted an underage boy on social media.
They said he, 'repeatedly enticed him to produce sexually explicit videos and photographs of himself.'

It's understood the boy told Jerry that he was 13-years-old during their online interactions.
The Cheer star has been charged with one count of producing child pornography.
This is punishable by a minimum of 15 years in prison, and a maximum of 30.

The alleged victims attorney releases a statement
Morgan Stewart and Sarah Klein of Manly, Stewart & Finaldi released a statement to E! News.
They expressed their gratitude towards the U.S. Attorney and the FBI for taking, 'swift action to protect children,' by arresting Jerry.

They said it was their client's mother who made this possible.
'[She] provided evidentiary proof of the manipulation, sexual harassment, abuse, and exploitation that her sons had suffered.'

The FBI investigation
This news comes days after USA Today reported Jerry was under investigation by the FBI.
The outlet reported the investigation was based on allegations made by 14-year-old twin brothers.
At the time, a spokesperson for Jerry disputed the report in a statement to E!

They said, 'We categorically dispute the claims made against Jerry Harris, which are alleged to have occurred when he was a teenager.'
'We are confident that when the investigation is completed, the true facts will be revealed.'

Jerry is scheduled to make his first court appearance this week.
