'Will they, wont they?' has recently become more 'are they, aren't they?' when it comes to the long held rumours of Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather doing battle inside the boxing ring.
On Monday, McGregor cancelled a meet-and-greet he was due to give in the Red Cow Hotel as a schedule change meant he was on his way to Las Vegas.
It was then reported that the super-fight between McGregor and Mayweather edging much closer to a reality.
However, Mayweather took to Twitter to dispel any rumours, stating that he was 'retired'.

McGregor, of course, took this as a prime opportunity to throw a dig at the undefeated boxing champion.

However when Mayweather told him to 'take care of his business' with the UFC, McGregor found himself with mixed views from UFC fans over weather he should defend his lightweight title first or pursue the fight with Mayweather.
McGregor took the opportunity to post a strong message to the fans on Instagram.
