The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced the new measures, which have some exceptions such as:
- Unless someone must go to work which is essential
- To shop
- To attend medical appointments
- vital family reasons such as caring for children, elderly, or vulnerable groups.
- exercise, which must take place within a 2km radius of your home.
"What happens next is up to each and every one of us" says Varadkar.
