The Department of Health has confirmed 1,066 new cases of Covid-19 and 3 further deaths.
Of the cases notified today; 536 are men while 528 are women.
67% of positive cases are under the age of 45 and the median age is 32.
The majority of cases, 224, are in Dublin, 104 in Galway, 98 in Cork, 92 in Meath and the remaining 528 cases are distributed across all remaining counties.
The fourteen day incident rate is 302 per 100,000.

Risk Of Contracting Covid Is 100 Times Greater Than It Was In June
Commenting on the figures Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan said "We are now at Level 5 because the disease is very serious."
"We all need to stay home, except for essential work and exceptional circumstances."
He advises confirmed cases to stay at home and self isolate.
The CMO says close contacts of confirmed cases should stay at home and contact your GP.
Meanwhile his deputy Dr Heather Burns was concerned about the increasing incident rate.
She said "The risk of you being exposed to COVID-19 is now 100 times greater than it was 4 months ago."
Dr Burns echoed Dr Holohan saying, "Please limit your risk by staying at home and following public heath advice."
