1,346 new cases of covid-19 have been reported by the Department of Health this afternoon.
As of 8am today, there are 315 people in hospital with the virus. That's up four in 24 hours.
59 are in ICU, up one over the same period.

Meanwhile, a former head of the HSE is urging people to attend walk-in Covid vaccination centres throughout the country today.
At least 16 are operating , allowing people to get their first or second doses.
They're for people over the age of 12, and they'll get Pfizer or Moderna jabs.
