MeaThe Department of Health has confirmed 8,248 new cases of Covid-19.
They have been notified of 20 additional death related to the virus.

Of the cases notified today, 3,834 are men while 4,375 are women.
Most people -61% - are aged under 45 years of age
Most cases of Covid-19 are in Dublin, where there are 3,013 cases.
Elsewhere, there are 1,374 new cases in Cork, 538 in Limerick, 314 in Kildare and 310 in Donegal.
The remaining 2,699 cases are spread across all other counties
As of 2pm today, 1,180 #COVID19 patients are hospitalised, of which 109 are in ICU. 116 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, there have been 116 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.
In total, there are 1,180 Covid-19 patients in hospitals - 109 of whom are in intensive care.
The 14 Day Incident Rate is estimated to be 1087.7 per 100,000 population.
South African Variant Discovered In Ireland
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan confirmed that three new cases of the South African variant have been identified in Ireland.
"All of the cases identified are directly associated with recent travel from South Africa.
Dr Holohan asked anyone who has travelled from South Africa to identify themselves to their GP and to self isolate for 14 days.
