There are 2,605 new infections - the biggest daily figure since January 21st.
487 patients are in hospital with the virus, down 16 from yesterday.
99 are in intensive care, a decrease of two.
In Northern Ireland, an additional 1,122 Covid cases have been reported, with nine further deaths.
