The Department of Health has confirmed 322 new cases of Covid-19.
Five people have died from the virus; there has now been 1,992 Covid-19 related deaths.
Of the cases notified today, 156 cases are men meanwhile 166 are women.
Most people - 65% - are aged under 45 years old, with the median age being 37.
Most cases, 96 are in Dublin, there are 35 in Meath, 23 in Cork, 17 in Louth and 16 in Wexford.
The remaining 135 cases are spread across 18 other counties.
There have been 14 additional hospitalisations.
In total, 296 people in total are being treated in hospital, 42 of whom are in intensive care.
The 14 Day incidence rate is estimated to be 228 per 100,00 population.

CMO Says Public Must Maintain Efforts To Drive Down Covid-19 Figures
Commenting on this evening's figures, the Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan said people's efforts are working.
“Due to the efforts of people across Ireland, we are seeing improvements with COVID-19."
"The value of our progress depends on continuing the safe behaviour that got us to this position."
"I urge everyone to keep it up, to ensure these initial trends continue,” he concluded.
