The Department of Health has confirmed 456 new cases of Covid-19.
Five people died from the virus; there has now been 1,984 Covid-19 related deaths.
Of the cases notified today, 199 cases are men while 257 are women.
Most people - 69% - are aged under 45 years of age.
The median age is 35.
Most cases, 105, are in Dublin.
Elsewhere, there are 85 cases in Limerick, 43 in Cork, 38 in Meath and 25 in Clare.
The remaining 160 cases are spread across 21 counties.
Statement from the National Public Health Emergency Team
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 5 additional deaths related to COVID-19.
All deaths reported today occurred in November.

Meanwhile, there have been 10 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.
In total, 274 Covid patients are being treated in hospital, 33 of whom are in intensive care.
The 14 Day incidence rate is estimated to be 120.4 per 100,00 population.
