This evening, the Department of Health confirmed 47 additional deaths relating to Covid-19.
44 of the deaths reported today occurred this month, 2 in January and 1 in December.

The median age of those who died was 81 years old with the age range between 51 and 99.
As of midnight this morning, there have been 901 confirmed new cases of the virus.
473 of today's cases are identified in men while 422 are in women.
Most people -65% - are under 45 years of age.
The median age is 36 years old.
Most of today's cases were identified in Dublin, where there are 437 new cases.
Elsewhere, there are 43 cases in Galway, 39 in Kildare and 32 in Meath.
The remaining 301 cases are spread across all other counties.
Meanwhile, there have been 48 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.
In total, there are 771 Covid-19 patients in hospitals - 151 of whom are in intensive care.
The 14 Day incident rate to February 16th is 252.9 per 100,000 population.
