The Department of Health has confirmed one additional death relating to Covid-19.
It has also reported 520 new cases of the virus in the past 24 hours.
Almost 80% of today's cases were identified in people under the age of 45 years old.
Half of today's cases were identified in people who are 28 or younger.
Most of today's cases were identified in Dublin, where there are 242 new cases.
Elsewhere, there are 36 new cases in Meath, 30 in Offaly, 29 in Kildare and 25 in Wicklow.

The remaining 158 cases are spread across 20 other counties.
Meanwhile, there have been 14 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.
In total, there are 359 Covid-19 patients in hospitals - 81 of whom are in intensive care.
As of Monday, 181,063 people have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.
