On the page, the fan group said the following:
"This is just to raise a few pound to help out our late beloved captain, Ryan McBride's family, to cover the cost of his funeral. Ryan suddenly passed away on 19th March 2017 aged 27 and left the footballing world far and wide stunned due to his football career really getting a rise and being a key member of Derry City.
"Ryan was an absolute gentleman off the pitch and a leader on the pitch which went well with his immense talent. We are all heart broken at the news of Ryan's death and would be greatful for any money donated.
"Ryan you will be missed dearly by all at Derry City FC and on behalf of all football fans around Ireland and beyond, and us, the Red Partisans, we'd like to extend our deepest condolences to the McBride family and the friends of Ryan. May he rest in peace."
