A dolphin was spotted swimming in The Liffey this morning.
The mammal was seen near Sir John Rogerson's Quay and Samuel Beckett bridge.

The DSPCA say it's likely the stormy weather confused the animal.
According to 98FM news they are confident the dolphin is OK and "should swim back out to sea soon".
A spokesperson for The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group said, "If this dolphin is as the video suggests in good health and was able to swim upriver towards the city centre then it should be able to swim downriver on its own steam."
