Actor Drake Bell has been sentenced to two years probation by a US court, for child endangerment charges.
The 35-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charges at first but changed it to guilty after a plea deal was offered.
The court made it clear that the case was never about sexual misconduct or sexual relations, and Mr. Bell apologised to the woman for his actions.
She was a minor at the time.
The session last night began with a statement from her:
"I idolised and looked up to him."
"He took that and broke it, in the most sickening way possible."
She continued, "he is the epitomy of evil."
"My Conduct Was Wrong"
Drake, whose real first name is Jared, apologised for his actions afterward.
"Your honour I just want to say to you that I've accepted this plea because my conduct was wrong."
"I'm sorry that the victim was harmed in any way."
"That was obviously not my intention."
"I have taken this matter very seriously... again I just want to apologise to her and to anyone else who may have been affected by my actions."
