The DSPCA has launched a new initiative to help people who have bought, adopted or fostered dogs during lockdown and need support training and socialising their pups.
The aim of Pooch Pitstop at Dundrum Town Centre from Friday to Sunday is to keep as many dogs as possible happy in their existing homes.
The DSPCA says it witnessed an unprecedented demand for dogs during the pandemic, however it's now in the midst of the fall out.
The charity says there's a huge increase in the number of pets being abandoned or surrendered due to owners being overwhelmed and having a lack of education in behavioural training.
