Media outlet Time Out has placed Dublin 8 in the world's coolest neighbourhoods list.
D8 ranks at fifteenth on the list, ahead of well known areas in Rio, Tokyo and Vancouver.
The website asks thousands of readers across the world things such as their favourite place to eat, the buzziest bars and nightlife.
They combine this with the opinions of Time Out editors and contributors to come up with the rankings.
According to their 'Dublin expert' Dublin 8 "captures the essence of the Irish capital to a tee".

The reviewers cited places such as Lucky's on Meath Street and Pearse Lyons Distillery as reasons.
The War Memorial Gardens and Phoenix Park were described as the outdoors hotspots.
On top of the list is the area of Nørrebro in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Neighbourhoods in Chicago, Seoul, Edinburgh and Vilnius make up the top five.
When talking about Dublin 8, Time Out says "add it to your bucket list ASAP."
