It follows significant delays at security in the previous weeks.

Dublin Airport is urging passengers not to arrive excessively early for their flights.

It comes as the busy Easter period kicks in and many will be travelling abroad.

Half a million people are set to travel in and out of the airport between now and Monday.

However, the airport continues to deal with staff shortages and passengers are still advised to arrive early.

The DAA is advising those flying to arrive up to three and a half hours before their flight.

But any morning travellers from 8:30am onwards are asked not to arrive before 5am.

According to the group, people coming earlier than needed has increased pressure at busy times.

The situation looks like it will improve ahead of another busy period this summer.

The airport is in the process of hiring up to 300 new security screening staff.
