The Lord Mayor has revealed more streets being made traffic free.
Dublin's Lord Mayor believes the city should have more pedestrianised streets.
It follows on from DCC's decision to reverse ending a trial for Parliament Street and Capel Street.
The trial ending received backlash from locals and business owners.
I'm delighted with this 4-week extension to the Capel St / Parliament St weekend traffic-free streets initiative. After the successful trial, it makes sense to continue to September. We will begin a public consultation on 30 August to get everyone's views. #Dublin #CityRecovery pic.twitter.com/C2ZyPYd9nP

Now, Lord Mayor Alison Gilliland says she wants more streets to follow suit.
"We did this consultation last year if you remember around the Grafton Street area," she said.
"We actually had a consultation done around Liffey Street Lower."
Parliament Street and Capel Street will remain traffic free until the end of September.
