Minsters and TDs are making recommendations regarding knife crime.
New knife laws are set to come into action in Dublin soon.
It's aiming to prevent Dublin from reaching the same devastation knife crime has caused in London and Glasgow.
The new laws would see so-called 'zombie knives' banned, as well as 10 year sentences for possession of a knife 'with intent'
James Browne, Minister of State at the Department of Justice, says that a ban on buying knives for under 16s should be introduced.

TD Gary Gannon says stricter knife laws will not solve the issue of knife crime completely.
He reckons that we should look to Scotland to implement a similar approach over here.
In Scotland, they've got involved with the health sector, the education sector and even sports teams to educate and inform.
Gannon reckons we should "tackle the reasons why they use them in the first place."
