Restrictions being eased
Thousands of shops nationwide are back in business as Covid-19 restrictions are eased further.
The country has now entered Phase 2 of its reopening out of lockdown.
After almost three months shut - they’re thrilled to be reopen with a number of restrictions in place.
Customers now have to get used to this new normal with people are being encouraged to wear face masks.
Large queues have already been forming outside shops like Ikea and Zara in Dublin.
All retail stores with can re-open, but opening times are being staggered to relieve pressure on public transport.
Other changes today include that up to 25 people can now attend funerals of loved ones.
Public libraries can re-open as can supervised playgrounds and outdoor camps for children, once there are no more than 15 people involved.
Public transport is running on a normal Monday to Friday schedule, but social distancing measures mean that capacity will be restricted.
The next phase, phase three, is due to start on June 29th and the final phase of re-opening is set for July 20th.
