More than 800 children facing homelessness were helped by Depaul last year.
The homeless charity supported more than 3,600 people across Ireland, according to the organisation's annual report.
Eight babies were born in Depaul housing services during the year.
CEO David Carroll says urgent action is needed regarding the homelessness crisis.
"We're obviously very concerned about the fact that we have the highest amount of people who are homeless ever in Ireland.
"So we really consider that Budget 2023 offers an opportunity in order to be able to tackle this in some way."
