A Spanish judge has granted permission for the extradition of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch back to Ireland.
The 58-year-old was arrested last month in Spain on foot of a European Arrest Warrant.
The extradition was sought by Gardaí in Dublin.
They are investigating the murder of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel in Dublin in 2016.

But It Could Be Some Time
John Hand, chief reporter with the Irish Mirror, says it will be some time before the Monk's returned to Ireland.
"In terms of the extradition warrant, the judge has given the go ahead with that."
"But there'll be no handover of Hutch to Irish authorities until a decision is made over an appeal."
"It's in from Hutch's legal representatives."
"His appeal against extradition is almost certain to fail because a European Arrest Warrant is almost certain to fail."
