Minister Simon Coveney calls for move toward two-state solution to be made in wake of escalating violence.
The minister spoke at the UN today where an emergency meeting of the Security Council took place to discuss the outbreak of violence between Israel and Palestine.
An Israeli air strike in Gaza killed at least 33 people, in the single deadliest attack since the escalation of tensions almost a week ago.
Hamas Militants have also fired rockets at Israel, with an new barrage of missiles this afternoon.
"Serious sustained efforts are urgently needed to reinvigorate and renew credible negotiations," Minister Coveney said.
He went on to say that a two-state solution in line with international law is needed to prevent further escalation.
