gardaí are now treating a fire in Inchicore last night as suspicious.
Four people were taken to hospital after the blaze broke out at around a 11:15pm at an apartment block on Tyrone Place.
A woman in her 30s and her eight year old son were taken to St James Hospital and Crumlin Children's Hospital, and their injuries are being described as critical.
A 12 year old boy was also taken to Crumlin and a 7 year old girl was taken to Temple Street Hospital for treatment. Their injures are not thought to be serious.
Five units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene.
The scene has been preserved and a technical examination is ongoing.
Gardai are looking for any witnesses or anyone who was in the vicinity of Tyrone Place between 10.30pm and midnight yesterday to contact them at Kilmainham Garda Station on 01- 666 9700.
