It's emerged new laws could ban free drinks being given out in hair salons and barbers.
The growing trend has seen a complimentary gin and tonic or glass of prosecco handed out in hair salons, while glasses of whiskey and bottles of beer have become popular in barbershops.
However, according to the Irish Independent, a free drink while you wait to be groomed could soon be a thing of the past.
The forthcoming Public Health (Alcohol) Bill has regulations which will stop the supply of alcohol for free.
Health Minister Simon Harris hopes the laws will be passed by the end of the year.
