Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in Dublin.
The remains of the man in his 40s were found in "unexplained circumstances" last night, Saturday the 8th of January.
The body was discovered behind a building on Lower Rathmines Road, shortly after 10 o'clock.
Emergency services attended the scene where the man was pronounced dead.
His body has since been removed to the Dublin City Mortuary, where a post-mortem will be carried out.
Gardaí say the results of the examination will determine the course of their investigation.
