Gardaí are making enquires into a campaign which is encouraging businesses to reopen next week despite restrictions.
A campaign named 'Reopening Tralee' has been circulated online and Leaflets have been dropped into homes stating that a group of businesses plan to reopen next Monday.
However, Chief Executive of Tralee Chamber, Ken Tobin, says he'd be "very very surprised" if businesses took this anti-lockdown campaign seriously.
"Most of the businesses that we contacted looked at the email and effectively threw it in spam"
He says business in the Kerry town are "willing to stay the course".
"Businesses particularly in Tralee are part of the community and they know they're doing this to protect the health of the community."
Anti-Lockdown Protest Plans To Take Place In Dublin This Weekend
Meanwhile, a march is planned for Dublin on Saturday by people calling for society to reopen.
Ciaran O’Connor is a disinformation analyst with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and he says these campaigns try to target the vulnerable.
"In the absence of solutions or an exit plan there are extremists who offer a solution."
"The only thing is that they're solutions are ones that suit their political objectives," he added.
So far this week a salon has opened in Dublin against restrictions and some pubs have returned to selling takeaway pints.
