Garth Brooks says he would love to play five nights at Croke Park but he can’t see it happening.

The country music star is in Dublin to promote the two shows he’s announced for the stadium next year.

Garth Brooks is at Croke Park – 7 years after he cancelled five sold out shows at the stadium.

That was because authorities here refused licenses for two of the gigs.

Garth has described it as like a death in the family:

“It's the greatest privilege and the greatest joy an artist can have to get to play Ireland.”

"But it’s the greatest heartache to just be told you can’t.”

Five Gigs "Impossible"

The country music star says he’d love to play five gigs this time around. – adding “but I’d also love to be six foot five and have abs.”

“So you got 400,000 hard tickets in one city, one show. It's impossible.”

“There's no way we're going to that number again."

“There's just no way."

Tickets for the two concerts that have been announced - next September 9th and 10th.

They will go on sale on Thursday at 8am.
