Google blocks Huawei from accessing major apps
Huawei has been dealt a major blow after Google blocked access to some of its major apps.
Their phones rely on the Android operating system, in addition to access to apps such as Google and YouTube.
However, the last twist comes as a result of a rift between the US and Chinese governments.
For Huawei users' questions regarding our steps to comply w/ the recent US government actions: We assure you while we are complying with all US gov't requirements, services like Google Play & security from Google Play Protect will keep functioning on your existing Huawei device.

Reuters and The Verge report that Google has suspended business with the smartphone developer and in doing so hugely undermined its lineup of handsets.
US President Donald Trump added the company to a 'trade blacklist' last week.
It's over fears that the Chinese Government could use devices to spy on American networks, which has heightened tensions between the two countries.
However it says people with current phones will still have access and get updates.
