End of the road for Google+.
Google has announced it is shutting down its Google+ social media platform in April.
The service will close for personal consumer accounts on April 2nd, but will begin winding down from as soon as February 4th.
The service has long struggled against other services like Facebook and Twitter.
Photos and videos in album archives and on pages will be erased.
However users can download and save their content before the April deadline.
