Official Christmas parties in controlled settings are preferable to 'unofficial' work Christmas parties.
So that's according to a leading GP.
83 percent of people are in favour of having a Christmas bash with their colleagues.
That figure is in a survey for creative production agency FUEL.
However, high levels of Covid-19 in the community has cast a shadow over planning for the festive season this year.
NPHET has advised people to 'dial back' their socialising and 'ration' their activities.
Dont know when or how it happened but i now organise the Christmas party and kris kindle in work. When did i become this person.

Controlled Settings Are Better
Dr Denis McCauley is a GP and Chairman of the Irish Medical Organisation's GP Committee.
He says unofficial gatherings may not be the best approach:
"I would probably say It's better not."
But if you're going to have an unofficial Christmas party, don't."
"If you're determined to have have a party of some form, have it in a controlled environment."
"Where all the Covid measures are there."
