M7 diversions in place this weekend
It is hoped the project to upgrade the M7 will still be completed by the end of April.
However, Kildare County Council says they won't be in a position to confirm the date until this weekend's works are finished.
The motorway will close from 9pm tonight until Sunday evening.
It is so an old bridge can be demolished near Naas, with traffic being diverted up new slip roads instead.
The works to widen the motorway between the M9 Interchange and Johnstown have been ongoing since 2017, with a 60 kilometer speed limit in place.
