The FAI President has said the issues within the association have been a matter of "huge regret".
Earlier this month it was revealed that there are net liabilities of more than 60 million euro - with losses expected of around four million euro for 2019.
The executive said it's apologised for what has happened to staff within the organisation.
Donal Conway was asked in a press conference to apologise to the wider footballing community.
"It's a matter of huge regret that we have the kind of day that we have here today," he said. "I accept my role in that. I haven't been shy about saying that since last April or May."
