Ibrahim Halawa's trial was postponed for the 21st time today.
Yesterday, Taoiseach Enda Kenny revealed to the Dáil, that he wrote to the Egyptian President, requesting that they release Ibrahim on 'humanitarian grounds.'
This request comes as over the weekend, a doctor visited Ibrahim and said that he was in a very serious condition and recommended that the medical evaluation should take place in Ireland.
A candlelit vigil also took place outside the Dáil last night, and a petition calling for him to be released was issued to the government.
